Information on delivery time & shipping costs

We do everything we can to ensure that your ergobag products arrive at your home as quickly as possible. If individual items have a longer delivery time, your order will be shipped as soon as all items in your order are in stock. If you choose to pay in advance by bank transfer, the delivery time depends on the receipt of payment on our account. The expected delivery time to the respective countries and the shipping costs can be found in the menu below. We reserve the right to adjust the limit for deliveries free of shipping costs if necessary. We will of course inform customers of any changes in advance.

Shipping costs

Did you know that the packaging and shipping costs do not only include the actual shipping costs? Transport insurance, the cost of shipping staff and packaging are also included. If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Returns

If the product does not meet your expectations, you have the option of returning it to us within the return period* of 30 days (except for beyounic GmbH license & Photo Kletties).

After receiving your return, you will be refunded using the same payment method that you used to pay for your order. Please note that a direct exchange is unfortunately not possible.

*This does not affect your statutory right of withdrawal. The details of the statutory right of withdrawal can be found under § 4 of our terms and conditions.


Germany & Switzerland

Within Germany and Switzerland, you can return items free of charge via your customer account (even if you ordered as a guest).

Ordered as a guest?

Click on the following link: www.ergobag.com/en/registration. There you can subsequently create a password with the email you used when ordering and view your order history.

2. Open the order details of your order and scroll down to the "Returns" button.

3. Select the product to be returned and the reason for return and download the pre-filled returns label.

4. You can either print out the label and apply it to the parcel or simply use the QR code and have it scanned at the relevant transport company or packing station.


All other countries

Returns outside Germany and Switzerland are at your own expense.

(1) Print out this form, fill it out and enclose it with your parcel. Your details, such as customer number and order number, can be found on your invoice or in the shipping confirmation email.


(2) Then register your return via the returns portal in your customer account. Here you can easily register as a guest after your purchase and return your order.

(3) Click on the following link and enter the e-mail address you used to place your order: https://www.ergobag.com/en/account/orders.

(4) Enter your e-mail address and the corresponding password if you are already registered for the customer account. If you have ordered as a guest and do not yet have access to the customer account, click on the “Register” tab and create a password to view your order history.

(5) Then go to the order details of your order and scroll down to the “Return order” button.

(6) Here you can then select the product to be returned and the reason for the return and you will be shown all the other information you need to send the parcel back to us.

Right of withdrawal

In addition to its statutory rights, FOND OF grants you a voluntary return guarantee of 30 days from receipt of the goods, provided that they are complete and in the same condition as when received. You can also withdraw from the contract after expiry of the 14-day revocation period (see revocation instructions under § 4 of the General Terms and Conditions ) by returning the goods within 30 days of receipt (period begins on the day after receipt of goods) to

Timely dispatch is sufficient to meet the deadline. (2) Until the expiry of the deadline for the statutory right of withdrawal, only the statutory conditions listed there apply. (3) If you return goods in accordance with the voluntary return guarantee, we will refund the purchase price.


Complaints & Spare Parts

If you discover a defect in your product within the guarantee or warranty period, please send us an e-mail with a photo of the defect and the invoice to: info@ergobag.de. We will process your request and get back to you as soon as possible.

In case of defective or lost buckles or spare parts please send a photo of the broken part as well as your shipping address to: info@ergobag.de. If in stock, we will send you the needed spare part by post free of charge (even outside the guarantee period and without proof of purchase). The spare parts are sent by letter post with Deutsche Post, therefore there is no tracking number. After dispatch, the delivery takes approx. 5-6 working days.

Payment with credit card

You can pay conveniently and securely by credit card. We accept Visa and MasterCard credit cards.

Your data will be transmitted encrypted via SSL, which makes your purchase with us safe due to this high security standard.

When completing the order, a 3DS authentication is used (Verified by VISA, MasterCard Secure Code). This type of authentication ensures the particularly secure execution of transactions on the Internet via special encryption procedures.

No additional software is required for this. You will be automatically redirected to the page of your bank for payment processing. To complete the order, please follow the steps indicated there.

If you receive an error message, this may be due to the following reasons:
- The 3D Secure Code is not correct
- The bank has not authenticated the credit card
- The credit card limit is not covered

Payment with PayPal

If you would like to pay via PayPal, you will be redirected to PayPal at the end of the order process.
Here you can log in to your existing PayPal account, register as a guest or open a new PayPal account and make the payment.
After successful payment you will be redirected back to our order overview and can complete your order. Your payment will usually be credited to our account within a few minutes and your order will be processed immediately.

Please note that by using Paypal you agree to the terms and conditions of PayPal and therefore accept the processes of Paypal.

If you select the payment method "Prepayment", your order will be processed after receipt of payment.

NOTE: After receiving your payment, the booking of your order takes about 1 to 2 days. As soon as the amount has been posted, you will receive an email from us.

The items will remain reserved for you until we receive your payment (maximum 10 days).

When did you purchase your school bag?


I. Did you purchase your school bag on or after October 1, 2025? Then the following terms and conditions apply:


1. Warranty period
- Four-year manufacturer's warranty on your ergobag school bag from the date of purchase.
- Warranty extension is not possible.

a. Purchase before September 15 of a given year
If the school backpack is purchased before September 15 of a given year, the warranty period ends on September 15 four years later.

b. Purchase on or after September 15 of a given year
If purchased on or after September 15 of a given year, the warranty expires four years after the date of purchase.

II. Did you purchase your school bag before October 1, 2025? Then these terms apply:


1. Warranty period
- Two-year manufacturer's warranty on your ergobag school bag from the date of purchase.
- Online registration allows for an extension to four years.

Regardless of when you purchased your school bag, the following applies:


1. The following is covered:
- Material defects
- Manufacturing defects
- All ergobag school bag models
→ If a warranty claim is valid, the item will be repaired or replaced.

2. The following is not covered:
- Normal wear and tear
- Improper handling (e.g., washing in a washing machine or dishwasher, sitting on it, etc.)
- Accidents or damage caused by extreme temperatures
- All ergobag accessories

3. How it works in the event of damage:
- Report the damage online, by email, or by phone (with proof of purchase and photos).
- Receive a return label and send in the backpack.
- Your ergobag school bag will be repaired or replaced if the warranty claim is valid.

4. Important to know:
Your statutory warranty rights remain valid in addition to the warranty service and can be asserted against the respective seller.

FAQs Warranty


Which products are covered by the warranty?

The warranty covers all our school bag and backpack models (cubo Set, cubo light Set, pack Set, maxi Set, flex, flex Set, prime, prime Set). But the included set components, such as pencil cases, gym bags, folder boxes, Kletties, etc., are excluded from the warranty.

Which products are excluded from the warranty?

All of our accessories and our range of leisure backpacks are excluded from the warranty. It only applies to our school bags and range of school bags. The accessories included in a school bag set are also excluded from the warranty.

What damage or defects are covered by the warranty?

The warranty covers defects in material and workmanship. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage caused by improper handling, accidents, or extreme temperatures.

Why was the manufacturer’s warranty increased from 2 years to 4 years?

Until now, you have been able to extend our 2-year manufacturer’s warranty to a total of 4 years. To save you this extra step and provide you with even better service from the get-go, we have extended the warranty to 4 years as of October 1, 2025, without requiring any additional action from you.

When does the new 4-year warranty start?

The new provision took effect on October 1, 2025. If you purchased your school bag after this date, the 4-year warranty automatically applies.

Do I need to do anything to get the 4-year warranty, or is it automatically valid?

If you purchased your school bag after October 1, 2025, the 4-year warranty automatically applies. You don't need to do anything else.

How do I make a warranty claim? What documents do I need?

To file a warranty claim, simply contact us – by email, telephone, or our online contact form. We will need the proof of purchase (invoice, receipt, order confirmation or bank statement), a brief description of the damage, a few photos, and your address information. As soon as we have received your form, you will receive a response by email within 1-2 working days. The email will explain how the case is categorized and what the next steps will be.

What is the procedure in the event of a warranty claim?

Once we have all the information from you, we will send you a return label. Please return your ergobag school bag to us in the original box or in a suitable package. Once it arrives at our facility, we will carefully inspect it and, if possible, perform the repair right away. If the bag cannot be repaired, we will provide you with a replacement model. If it turns out that this is not a warranty case, we will of course return your ergobag to you free of charge.

How long does it take to process a warranty case?

Processing usually takes up to 14 days. In exceptional cases – for example, in the case of more complex repairs – it may take a little longer.

Why is September 15 the cut-off date for the warranty period?

September 15 takes into account the typical school enrollment period throughout Europe, since the start of school usually falls between the beginning and the middle of September.

Should I buy the school bag as close to the start of school as possible to cover the primary school period? (Applies for 4 years as of the start of school or purchase date)

To ensure that your warranty always runs for at least 4 years, we have introduced the following rule: - If you bought your school bag before September 15, the guarantee is valid until September 15 four years later. So you get a guarantee of at least 4 years. - If you bought it on or after September 15, the warranty begins on the purchase date and ends exactly four years later. So you get exactly 4 years of warranty.

I bought my school bag shortly before the cut-off date. Do I still have to request the extension?

Yes, if you purchased your school bag before October 1, 2025, you still need to complete the online warranty extension form for the 4-year warranty. It only takes 2 minutes and you get to benefit from the warranty for a full 4 years.

Does the warranty also apply internationally if I buy the product abroad?

The warranty applies to all ergobag school bags purchased by consumers within the European Union or in Switzerland.

What is the difference between a statutory warranty and a manufacturer’s warranty?
  • The statutory warranty is regulated by law and runs for 24 months for new goods. It covers damage that the goods had from the outset, at least to some extent.
  • A manufacturer’s warranty, on the other hand, is a voluntary additional service provided by the manufacturer (manufacturer's warranty) or the retailer (retailer's guarantee). Whether and for how long it applies depends on the respective guarantee conditions. The statutory warranty always remains in force.
Which terms and conditions apply: are they the terms and conditions on the insert in the rucksack or those in the PDF attached to the email?

As we have amended our manufacturer’s warranty terms and conditions as of 1 October, the new terms and conditions apply to all purchases made on or after 1 October. You can find these in the PDF attached to the order confirmation email or on our website.

What is included in the ergobag cubo light set?

Since the cubo light model does not have any firmly sewn-on side pockets, we include these with the set so that you can zip them on. So you have no disadvantage compared to the cubos and packs, which have sewn-on side pockets from the 2022 autumn/winter collection.

Which side pockets match the color of my backpack?

Our zip sets are primarily used for better visibility, which is why they are only available in selected colors and do not match all of our backpack designs.

When will my dream school backpack be available again?

Normally we add a date when the respective school-backpacks will be available again. You can also subscribe to our Stock Alert and you will then receive an email notification of availability. Of course there are also discontinued models, these will not be returned to our shop, but could still be available from our dealers.

Why aren't my side pockets holding up?

It can happen that the side pockets don't hold up if they are loaded too heavily.

Battery Label
