The solar system made easy: A journey through our universe
Our solar system is like a large family of celestial bodies that all orbit around the sun. At the center is the sun - a huge, hot star that provides light and heat. Eight planets orbit around it:
🌍 Earth - Our home, the only known planet with life.
🔥 Mercury - The smallest and closest planet to the sun, with extremely hot and cold temperatures.
💨 Venus - Enveloped by thick clouds of toxic gas and hotter than an oven!
🔴 Mars - The “red planet” with huge dust storms and the possibility of early water.
⛅ Jupiter - The largest planet with a huge storm, the “Great Red Spot”.
💍 Saturn - Famous for its impressive rings of ice and dust.
❄️ Uranus - Turns on its side and has a bluish color due to its icy atmosphere.
🔵 Neptune - The outermost planet, known for its strong storms and deep blue color.
